We discover new ways to prevent cancer. For example, our research led to the development of the HPV vaccine which is expected to prevent almost 90% of cervical cancer cases in the UK.
We find new ways to detect cancer at an early stage. In the last 50 years, our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK. Early detection has played an important role in this.
We also pioneer new treatments. More than 8 in 10 people who receive cancer drugs in the UK receive a drug developed by us, or with us.*
Beating cancer requires long-term commitment. Monthly gifts mean a regular income. And a regular income means we can commit to pioneering new research projects with the biggest potential to save and improve lives in the future.
When you pay by Direct Debit, it helps us to keep our administrative and fundraising costs down so we can spend more on life-saving research.
